I think that's a great idea. I'm not familiar at all with GSoC: I
already heard of it but I'm not familiar with the way it works
exactly, so I'll have to look at it. But, the idea to apply to GSoC
for Spyder is interesting.

However, the deadline is very close and I'm in vacation right now so
my availability is quite unpredictible.
