This may not help, but I was having similar problems with Windows 7 and finally discovered how to access the various folders. Assuming you have administrator rights, you might try the following: In Explorer, right click the blocked folder->Properties->Security tab- >Advanced button->Change Permissions button If you see a Deny Everyone row in table, select it and hit Edit.. button.
