Can I suggest to update https://pythonhosted.org/spyder/installation.html?
This page is referenced a lot and cause confusion. Also, the instructions for "Run without installing" section doesn't make sense and doesn't work out-of-the box on macOS. Newbie's landing on this page will have a hard time to get on Spyder (without Anaconda).
