I don't want to install SL because it's been installed here since 2003.
What I want is the most efficient way to upgrade L123 as patches are issued.
The installation in /usr/local/sql-ledger/ has my customized templates and
other installation-specific changes that used to be maintained when I
untarred the latest SL in /usr/local. The L123 source has a subdirectory
with the same name as the directory, and both include the build number. I
untar it all in a temporary directory, rename the base directory to
sql-ledger ('cause that's how the system knows the application), and try to
ensure that permissions and ownerships are correct before copying to
/usr/local/sql-ledger.
Is there a more efficient way?
