Yeah, that's a good point.

If you're looking at a database with tens of millions of rows, then I
suppose it would be untenable to do it any way other than as a backup. But
then again, you'd probably be looking at a dedicated db server in that case.


Is it really true that the tools with SQL Server 2005 are a step down?
That's bad news. I'm managing a large database in SQL Server 2000, and I've
been thinking of porting to PostgreSQL mainly due to the MS licensing costs.
Perhaps this is another nail in the coffin.
