Just use the data transformation services. There's an application that resides on your SQL Server. It's JUST for this. It's a wizard that walks you thru it all. You don't need any other software. Just look under your SQL Server program group's folder and you'll see "Data Transformation Services". This is all you need. I don't think anyone should even have to tell you what else to do because when you click it, you'll simply be guided thru the whole process. Copy data, objects, permissions (or not) from one SQL server...to another one...
Easy as pie. I feel your pain, when you're ready to copy your database over, if you've never done it before, it's certainly an ordeal.
