As mentioned on the TurboGears list, I'm definitely on board with this. I really hope this gets accepted. I can't speak for Jonathan, but I haven't seen other proposed SQLAlchemy projects, so I think you'll have a mentor, assuming the whole chain of approvals works out.
I have been out of the country, and away from internet access for the last 5 days, so I missed all this great discussion :) It looks like at least one other person has stepped up to mentor this project, and I have also just thrown my hat in the ring, so I am fairly confident someone will end up taking this project on. I am really excited by this project, as it solves a problem that I deal with on a frequent basis in my work. Kudos to Evan for coming up with an elegant way to deal with it. My only complaint is that its a little bit *too* inspired by Rails' migrations package. Of course, thats not a bad thing to be inspired by ;) -- Jonathan LaCour http://cleverdevil.org ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
