It looks like at
least one other person has stepped up to mentor this project, and I have
also just thrown my hat in the ring, so I am fairly confident someone
will end up taking this project on.

Great to hear! I had wondered if anything was going on in the
mentor-only project comments. ;)

I am really excited by this project, as it solves a problem that I deal
with on a frequent basis in my work. Kudos to Evan for coming up with
an elegant way to deal with it.

Well, if they're going to pay me to spend my summer writing something,
I ought to write something useful, 'aye?
Really though, I was initially interested because it's a problem I
spent entirely too much time stumbling over on my last project. Sounds
like my solution is going to end up actually being helpful to other
folks too, rather than being just a personal exercise; cool.

My only complaint is that its a little
bit *too* inspired by Rails' migrations package. Of course, thats not a
bad thing to be inspired by ;)

Indeed it is. Seems something like Rails is a good starting point -
it's certainly been successful - but when the time comes to write up
more detailed project plans, I don't want to just blindly copy
everything Rails' migrations do, either.
