I've been pecking at this issue for along time, but cannot seem to solve
it.  Months ago when troubleshooting some scanning issues I nuked the
scanner.log file.  LMS has never created or written to the file since. I
likewise nuked the server.log file, and it is fine.  I've done things
like opening explorer as admin and unchecking "read only" on the folder
properties all the way down from "program data" to the log file folder.
I've created empty scanner.log files and tested, and no dice.

It's hard to troubleshoot scanner issues when you're not getting a log
file. :) Any advice here?
