I have a pretty big music library, around 2.5TB which has been working fine for years. I use a rather elderly server running an equally elderly version of WHS. I'm not in the habit of updating LMS either on the basis that if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I've noticed lately that a few albums are no longer visible on my squeeze boxes. they're all ripped CDs which have been playing fine since 2011, but are no longer visible, although the files are still where they've always been. I'm not sure of the scale of the problem - with such a big library I rarely notice if individual albums go astray, but I don't think the problem applies to more than a handful. I've tried deleting the cache and restarting. the system rescans automatically every night. other than that the system is working fine. Any thoughts?
