Hi - Hope someone can help. I am running LMS 7.7.5 on my old HP MediaSmart Server with Windows Home Server (v1 - it's old).
All of a sudden, maybe a month or two ago, after rescanning my library (I'd added 4 or 5 albums) to my music library folder, rescanning started crapping out. it would start rescanning, then give me a message that the operation was "unexpectedly terminated." It would successfully scan a little more than half of my library (about 380 albums out of over 500), and i can play them all fine. When I browse (in LMS) under "Music Folder" ALL of the albums are there, but they don't show up under album view. I've tried both rescanning just new music and a complete clean scan. I've tried to clear my cache and delete preference files and all that, but that doesn't seem to be helping. I'm not sure what else to try - and now I've got another 6-12 albums I want to add to the library to play, but clearly have to wait until I resolve this. Do I upgrade to one of the newer versions of LMS? Do I uninstall LMS from the server and then just do a clean re-install of the same version I have? It's been about a month, and I keep re-trying every few days, to no avail. Any help greatly appreciated!
