Just so I'm clear -1) I can go ahead and simply delete those two files (server log and scanner log) from their locations and that will be ok? 2) I see the box to tick for preserving the logging settings for after a reboot, but am unclear as to what you mean exactly with the first part of that, increasing the log level, etc...
