Yes there is a plethora of settings for the log . I'm myself not sure
which one that does produce the most or best result or just to much
information . Experiment .

And yes you can go ahead and delete the log files while LMS is not
running . Or just move them to your normal computer and save them . This
way you can try different things and save the result .

There are things one can try for example chosea very small folder as
music folder and scan that , it could show if the scanner works at all .
or scan halt the library .
But hopefully a log with more information would piont in some direction
and give you a clue .

You said that you did try to remove the cache via the controll panel did
that succeed ? If you are not sure you can again shutdown LMS go the
cache folder and delete all the *.dB and *.wal files you can find and
restart LMS .

How big are the dB files ? how full is C partition on the whs machine
was that not a thing with some of these old whs machines ? A completely
full C drive ?
