It might be the vortexbox build of squeezelite as I do not regognise this capability at all .( but it do make sense for the local DAC ) Wonder how they get away with that M$ do own the patent/licensing.
I have seen discussions on how to add HDCD capacity to squeezelite in the past . Try squeezelite on another machine ?
