But really all this is off topic since it does not address the issue of why a "look for new and changed mediafiles" rescan does not clear deleted audio files from the library (aka database), which is independent of the size of the library (aka database).
Fair enough. But please make sure you've set the memory options to "max" in Settings/Advanced/Performance anyway...
