It's all in the same user group. Since my last post, I installed an older version of Vortexbox on the machine with LMS 7.7.2.. Now no issues playing any files. I have an older version of LMS that is now working, but unfortunately I lose DSD, but I have a version of LMS that is working.
I am a bit perplexed as to what is causing it, and perhaps it is unique to me........
