find) the *upgrade* procedure (rather than just installation). Do you just untar (in my case on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) the tarball over the existing installation? What do I need to do to keep settings, etc.?
Don't take the tarball, but the .deb package. then do a "dpkg -i logitechmediaserver.---.deb"
