The "connection reset" log message is a confirmation of a TCP network problem. Wha tisn't confirmed is which what happened to cause closure - this can only be done with somehting like wireshark but in my experience it will tell you a problem happened but not why. With other equipment netstat on either end for ip and tcp stats would help but receiver has no local stats.
