Typo, I meant to write "capped bitrate", as per the edited version. It will limit the bandwidth by encoding to mp3 before sending over the wire. You can decide per player what bandwidth to set, and you can also set the quality level, which governs how much CPU is required to do the encoding. This is in the per-device "audio" tab in LMS, iirc. You don't need to put the mp3s in your lms at all, in other words. Your Pi 2B should have no issue encoding on the fly.
