Firmware 40 is the latest f/w version for SB1. Firmware 137 (?) is thr latest f/w for SB2 , SB3, SB Classic. Problem is that SB1 has a small buffer and IIRC an older sync method to subsequent players so if the two methods are mixed - sync can be not as reliable as homogenous group.
