Ok, looks like either my router or my server itself are the suspects. I got a couple more dropouts tonight while the SB3 was connected over wifi directly with the router. The problems occurred while my wife's laptop, also over wifi to that same router, was running a huge backup. When the SB3 lost connection a few time, the backup also seemed to have failed with a lost connection. So the good news is that it's neither my SB3 nor LMS. The bad news is that it seems hard to reproduce and to then pinpoint either the laptop or the router.
