Clean install: I uninstalled QLMS in QNAP's Web GUI. That removes the installation folder, too. If the settings are stored somewhere else besides SlimServer/prefs, they could be inherited, yes.
Ah, ok. Yes, an uninstall usually only removes the application, but not settings, cache, plugins etc. You might need to do this manually (see Settings/Information for where those folders are).
