But how come your "initial run" would list Music & Artist Information? If the installation itself does not do this, and you don't do it either, then something magic is happening.
I'm not familiar with QNAP or the package you're using. But please uninstall LMS, and make sure all those paths really are gone (feel free to back them to some tar ball or whatever before doing so). Then re-install.
Don't get me wrong, but with the number of LMS installations out there I'm pretty sure I'd have more reports if this was a real issue in LMS itself. It must be something about your installation or how you're using it.
