No special steps to prepare your PC, BUT if you want to copy information from your existing internal hard drive first then you must do this BEFORE installing Daphile. You have an option run a temporarily run a live USB version of Daphile, however if you want to install it fully it will take over your HD and completely erase it! Caution Caution Caution... yes, Completely Erased. (It prompts you MANY times before it lets you do this, but it would be a permanent change) I strongly recommend that you able plug an external USB HD in and then copy everything you need from the internal HD to the external HD before you install ANY of the software that is recommended in this thread.
