LMS is single threaded so if somehting blocks one part (e.g. a
plugin,network interaction) then whole system can freeze. Also if
somehting locks the database (e.g. virus scanner) - then LMS can also
freeze. So usual first steps are
1. Disable all 3rd party plugins and see if things improve
2. Provide details of all security s/w
3. Provide details of collection (e.g no of tracks, albums) and how long
it takes to clear, scan and build a new library database - scan speed
can indicate problems.
4. Check scanner & server logs - some (e.g. netwropk) but not all issue
are logged but useful info is often there.
