I was higlihting that you were not running a system that uses some of
the "nice" features and likely that may have other unknown addiiotns.

Badly configured plugins, out of date plugin, plugins trying  to contact
dead sites, conflicting plugins have all been known to affect LMS smooth
running.  

The usual advice is get back to a clean standard LMS system - if system
freezes are still there, then it is clear plugins are NOT the issue -
otherwsie it can be said one or more of the plugins ARE the issue.

The majority of Windows users do not have system that feeeze - so  it is
likely that something in your setup is triggering the freeze - do not
start with preceived ideas about what couldn't cause a freeze.
