You've received lots of good advice to troubleshoot. I'll just add my 2 cents to confirm that something odd is happening in your setup. One of my setups is LMS 7.9.2 running on a Windows 10(64) machine. I have about 100,000 tracks, mostly FLAC, some mp3 and m4a. I have no freezes, dropouts, etc. on this system. (and this has been true with many different versions of LMS in recent years). LMS versions have been quite stable for many years. I can't recall the last time I had an issue with a version of LMS, but it has been many years ago.
