I'll oput int he the tim as long as I know it is worth it.  Solving
problems takes time.  Other userd play WMA natively so there is
something in your setup that is caussing problems.

Tackle one problem at a time - otherewsie you'll be changing things for
one problem and it may alter the other.

Ignore the WMA playlist issue until other WMA issue is solved.

You have not shown any proof of this.  Please do a enable LMS logging
player.source set to INFO.  Note time before trying to play, try to play
a WMa track, stop and then note time.  Copy *ALL* text (no
editing/omission) between start time and stop time into a text file, zip
it an attach to a post.

WMA is dead. It was never really alive on non-Windows platforms (e.g.
all Linux)  because MS made codecs proprietary but they have been
reverse engineered in ffmpeg (which is also used by VLC and mplayer).

To check this please run flac at a shell propomtp and copy the banner to
a post.  Showing a procress tree does not give version etc. proof that
it is an up to date LMS provided binary.
