Tested the files. Wave file played alright. Cue file did nothing. The wave file playing doesn't prove much, as I have a lot of albums with separate wav tracks and a cue file. With LMS the files play fine, but the cue file controls nothing and does nothing. When the wave file is large and contains the tracks that the cue file should separate, LMS refuse to play the wave. I can't see how the wav file can be bad, as I have a lots of them, and this happened with several with LMS, not just this file. I did test that. What purpose would it serve converting wav files to MP3, as I never listen or care for MP3 files. WAV or Flac are the lowest resolution I accept. As bpa said quite well: the cue file may be the issue.
