The OP has been interested in playing DSD files.  Perhaps their WAV
files are in fact in DSD format in which case there will be confusion
abotu whuich rules to apply

We need to be sure what details of the  "wav" files. Once determined -
then figure out if cue /wav oir cue/DSD is the issue.

I don't know much about DSD/DXD specifics but I did a test a while ago
and this is what drilling down to a DXD file with WAV extension looked
like - note only significance difference is the bit rate.
