Yes the executables in the Bin directory can be changed (e.g. copy from an old verison fo LMS) but make sure ownership & permissions are exactly the same. As a test that the flac utility is working OK - try playing a AAC stream to a Classic / SBReceiver as it will transcoding using faad & flac. My usual test stream is http://somafm.com/illstreet64.pls If AAC stream plays OK - then the problem maybe on the LMS input of the stream - possibly a change since 7.9.0. Problem maybe platform specific.
