The log folder had nearly 0.5Gb in it. The bulk of this being in these
files:
- kern.log
- syslog
- messages
And all three files had thousands of lines dating from May 2019 to the
present which all said something like:

There were very few other lines in there. Any idea what this is and how
I fix it?
Chopping 75% of each of the contents of these logs allowed me to
re-install LMS and re-use my saved prefs files so now (hooray)
everything is back working.
