Thanks all for you guidance. CanaKit Pi 4 arrived just yesterday and I cracked open the package today. Not sure if I'll get it built before the holidays are over because the kids are home. However I did successfully migrate my LMS installation to LUbuntu 18.04. Tried the newest 19.x version but had some problems/lack of patience getting VNC to work.
Appreciate the suggestion of the possibly still available "Free Upgrade" from Win 7 to Win 10. I'd like to know where that is if you have it. However, I started looking at all the seemingly unremovable "bloatware" in Win 10 and decided against for this instance. I recently made the same decision regarding setting up a couple of Ubuntu flavored (Ubermix) laptops for my kids to use. Didn't want them possibly downloading some kind of "inappropriate for their age" games and such. My Pi plans are to make one Pi4 LMS server and a Pi4 Media Server to hook to the family TV.
