It seems that it is my bad when I tried to add non-blocking SSL sockets on Windows as well (it has been on all system expect Windows for a while). I was on the right track but Windows always have an extra trick to bit you in the butt. I was able to reproduce the issue on my Windows machine and I've submitted a patch which AFAIK, works 100% on my computer.
