What's good about Foobar is that from it I can open the containing
folder of any file, even if it's on the network, and also edit tags
directly, even in a file that's currently playing, without having to
open the folder it's in if I don't need to. I tend to cruise my music
collection (79,000 tracks) from Foobar, and I use the Foobar
foo_out_upnp plugin to send Foobar's output to LMS. The only drawback
with that is that the plugin doesn't send the metadata of the file
that's playing to LMS - or in any case if it can I don't know how to do
it. That would almost be better than being able to send a file from LMS
to Foobar. 

But that's another discussion.
