Unless there is a different transcoding rule happening (which might be the case as we have change a lot in 8.0) or a new codec is used (eg tidal an aac) there is absolutely zero chance for change of SQ between versions. Best is to set the source &conversion logging to info for both version where you feel the difference and most it there.
