install LMS 8 without much success and not sure why - just wont start
That's actually a bug on LMS end. But time has come to move on: while I could fix that particular issue, you'll be facing more and more issues lack of proper HTTPS support.
(I actually removed support for these old ReadyNAS from LMS 8.1).
so backtracked to 7.9.4 which is fine, but now thinking I should go Raspberry Pi to just use the Duo as storage, particularly as its only recently been drive updated.
Way to go!
