Well, LMS has a set of default features that it provides regardless of
the player's capabilities and these features require a certain amount of
CPU power. You want to save energy and you chose to set your system
below these requirements so it's normal that it does not deliver
nominally. Now as any system you can configure and tweak it to match
special use cases that fit your needs and you are ready to give some
capabilities in exchange of less power. Nothing wrong with that, but
that does not mean that the default settings are wrong (per your
comment), they just don't fit you specific use case as they have to be
more generic.
