I keep my music on my 1TB OneDrive, which is included in my Microsoft
365 Personal Plan. I access my music from all over the place, with all
kinds of devices. OneDrive syncs to my LMS, works perfectly. Even
playlists sync between LMS and CloudPlayer on my Androids. :D
Since my goal is "transparency" (when the file sounds as good as the
original IMGO) not ultra-fidelity, I am always looking for codecs that
provide the best compromise between data/bandwidth consumption and
transparency. For me, it used to be Vorbis GTuneb3 -q6 for years... but
Opus shows me that it can achieve transparency (to my ears) at half the
bandwidth again (~128kbit). A truly awesome codec, btw. So if I can
choose between FLAC and Opus for transparency, I'll always choose Opus @
~1/10 of FLAC's size. Especially while driving, when I stream via 4G,
compression matters. In cost, and reliability, as buffers just last so
much longer.

My favorite music (electronic) doesn't seem available in Opus format
yet, but it is in FLAC. So I transcode. Make sense? 😉
