Thanks for the comprehensive responses!
I am indeed referring to multiple starts of "random" and it would be a good thing if a counter in the background puts a value to a song in terms of amounts played. *But just in this special context,* not an overall counter. The context should be defined by the _settings_of_the_random_menu._ In my case I have just one option set for one certain genre. (I DJ as a hobby and I want to make sure I listen to all of the tracks in my repertoire.) A simpler option would be to use a global counter: The random playlist will arrange only the least played tracks in general. This would be a good intermediate solution. There should be an option to set all tracks to 0, for having a clean start. Another option could be to create a huge playlist. As I understand a click/press will start a playlist of 20 songs. If a larger playlist of all possible songs would be created it could be saved and then restored upon the next start (of the same context). Maybe it would also be possible to save a huge list but only load 20 songs out of it, save the last song when "power off" is pressed and then load 20 songs from that starting point at the next start. Just some thoughts. Maybe some day I will be able to code that stuff, too. With 40 years of age I still have about 30 left to learn. Have a nice winter day! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bvrulez's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67251 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113937 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
