Fingers crossed but I think I've found a really neat solution that enables "persistent" HTTP connection on the core of LMS, while we can still keep the "buffered" option. Have a look here https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/pull/591. This requires a lot more verification, still. I need to also better think of what happens with webradios, although it is supposed to already be taken into account
