I think I’m right in saying that LMS is single threaded but does make
use of the extra cores in CPU for scanning but in general use is only
ever using one core and as you say it’s therefore transcoding that is
the crippling factor.
In general use my Pi4 is as good as my HP but the HP is definitely
faster at scanning. I don’t as a rule sync very many players so unsure
how Pi4 would handle that particularly when transcoding was involved and
given that the Pi has no RTC or doesn’t that assist with sync timing?
