Ok, i have updated the PCP from v 1.18 to v 8.10. As of now it is working on and off. I can play music fine but when another player is starting up it might stop playing. This is also the case when I sync or unsync players. On trying to make it play music again the usual behaviour starts to appear: PCP rushes through the playlist down to the last entry without playing anything. However, I can then again make it play music properly by playing music on another play and then sync this back to PCP. Crazy.
