Syncing players means conversion to lowest common denominator so all player can play the same audio stream. If one player can do 96Khz but not WMA and another can play WMA but only up to 48Khz. Then trying to play a 96Khz WMA stream with these players synced will result in transcoding to Flac and resampling to 48kHz for ALL players in sync group. If the LMS cannot resample or transcode - file will be skipped. Do your tests with unsynced players , check each player with each format. You can then identify the problem player/format combos. The builds of squeezelite can vary in their capability and squeezelite can be updated separate to PCP version.
