where are you located? Per @ktp above, he has a few Otherwise, here is the picoreplayer list of pi's that will work https://docs.picoreplayer.org/components/raspberry_pi/#models . As @ktp mentioned, he ran LMS on a 1B+. I don't think (but also don't know) that running LMS (streaming library or internet sources) is a heavy lift for pi's with lower memory or speed, it's scanning that really needs the resources. Greg Erskine, part of the picoreplayer team, would be a good person to reach out to for info on a pi model bare bones LMS. You could PM him. I am thinking that old pi models would be cheap second hand. Also, since you mentioned that someone else set up your system, I'd like to mention that setting up a picoreplayer (lms and/or squeezelite player) is very easy, the documentation is good, and the support from this community is excellent.
