I believe if SlimServer Help - SoftSqueeze says you have Java, that's
all you need. I don't think there's a tremendous need to have the very
latest version or anything.

Aha - I believe you clicked on the URL you just posted in response to
my post. Note the ellipsis ("...") inserted in the URL. When you copy
it, it comes with the ellipsis. The forum software does this to shorten
long URLs.
Try clicking the link directly in my post. That will get rid of the
ellipsis.
You can also google for SoftSqueeze. It's the third link, the
SourceForge link. The first two links are Richard Titmuss' page (the
developer, now working for Slim Devices) and these pages link to the
SourceForge page for download.
