Just to reiterate, you don't need your -SlimServer- PC to be on in order to use SoftSqueeze. In this case, it'll act like a Squeezebox without SlimServer, i.e. you'll have to connect it to SqueezeNetwork. You do need a PC to run SoftSqueeze obviously, since it's a Java program, but it doesn't have to be your SlimServer PC. > I hope Squeezebox enhances their radio ability to search for more > stations directly from the Squeezebox network or remote. It's exactly like a Squeezebox. The interface currently looks like a Squeezebox2 but I believe there's a Transporter skin in 6.5 and there may be a Squeezebox3 skin coming. > I realize we can find any URL that stream and add them but it would be > nice to locate radio streams in the network that have been proven to > work already, in other words a database of stations we can add to our > own network. Sure, good point. Just keep in mind that what you see on SqueezeNetwork is only a small percentage of what's available. You may want to try 'URL Snooper' (http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/urlsnooper/index.html) to decipher some of the more obscured URLs. -- Mark Lanctot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26642 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
