I think that those 2 problems are related, as both started the same time. When I first found this problem on my controller on Saturday it had this described "limited" menu. So I thought maybe controller froze, so I switched it off and than again on. After that controller freezes after showing that it has connected to SN (IP of player that was connected to SN), than it shows it is trying to connect to player <name>, and here - freeze. I see that even controller freezes here, it was successfully connected to SN - I go to www.squeezenetwork.com and see under "Players" both player&controller connected (and IP from which I'm connected). Than going to "Browse" on www, enables playing everything as usual. I think this to problems are the same, because they started exactly the same time. Going to webinterface is only the way to "cheat" the error you called #2 and have limited use of controller.
