For the present, the point of the SqueezeNetwork setting on the SBC is so that you can use it to tell your SqueezeBox (SB, SB2, SB3, SB Receiver) or Transporter to connect to SN. It shows you what is playing on the SB, which is especially useful for the SB Receiver (the other half of the Duet), because the SBC is the only way you get any visual indication of what's playing. You're not setting it up as a player, but using it as a controller.
In the future (time unspecified) they will add a feature to the SBC firmware that will activate the SBC headphone jack, so that it becomes a portable player. All the hardware is already in place, it just needs more work on the software. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49756 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
