socketwrapper only runs on the SC systems - so enabling it on the desktop will not do anything.
I am not familiar with WHS but I cannot imagine that there is no firewall as it is a networked device. If socketwrapper is the problem - it is strange that no other users have encountered the problem but perhaps it is a security policy setting on your WHS and you may have chosen a stricter policy than usual. Since you are unable to examine the security setting, a suggestion would be to upgrade to a 7.3.2 nightly as this has removed the use of socketwrapper for many transcoding. I think this includes WMA but not AlienBBC. However there is always the possibility that upgrading may bring other issues. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57525 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
